Why Do Tai Chi Slowly?

Your Tai Chi practice is an opportunity to listen to your body and your mind. Doing anything slowly allows you to relax and notice small details. And as in life, it’s small details that provide richness and insight.

Listen to Your Body

At any time, if you feel pain or a sense of pulling or straining, STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING. Your body is telling you something isn’t right and you need to modify a move. Listen to your thought process. Try not to judge yourself. You want to give yourself positive messages about your practice.
